Sleeping Dogs is an action-adventure open world PC video game. Initially, the game was announced as the part of True Crime Game Series, but later, due to cancellation in 2011, Square Enix bought it's publishing rights with its name. The game is based on Hong Kong City and contains the excellent quality of actions, combat and voice acting, but it's graphics and animations were criticized. That's why it's three expansion packs, with improved graphics and gameplay, were released within next six months. Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition was one of the major upgrades.

Sleeping Dogs was developed by United Front Games and Square Enix London, and published by Square Enix. The game was produced by Jeff O'Connell and Feargus Carroll, designed by Steven Ferreira and Chris Stimson, programmed by Dave Roberts, composed by Jeff Tymoschuk and written by Jacob Krarup and Tim Carter. Joshua Lee and Hani Ghazaleh were the artists of the game.

Sleeping Dogs was released on 14 August 2012 for Microsoft Windows(PC), OS X, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One platforms.
